Big Hart Campground is situated in a wooded area of the beautiful Clarks Hill Lake. Clarks Hill Lake covers more than 70,000 acres with 1,200 acres of shoreline being one of the largest lakes in the Southern United States. Big Hart Campground has 31 campsites and 1 group site. All sites are equipped with 50/30/15 amp electrical hookups. Amenities include on-site bath houses, dump station, 2 playgrounds, day use area with beach, and a boat ramp. In Clarks Hill lake you will find hybrid and largemouth bass, bluegill, channel and flathead catfish, crappie and many others. More than 7.5 million people visit Clarks Hill Lake each year.

Are you open year around?

Big Hart Campground is open year around for all types of camping. 

Do you close the gates?

Gates remain open at all times for the convenience of our campers.

What is your max stay?

We allow each camper to book up to 30 days before having to leave.

Do you have a dump station?

Yes, we have a dump station located close to the entrance.

How far in advance can I book?

We allow you to book 12 months from the current date. 

Do you have hiking/biking trails?

Currently we do not have hiking or biking trails. We are situated approximately

3.5 miles off the main road so there is paved areas and off road areas to walk/ride. 

Are gold carts allowed?

Golf Carts are allowed but must be operated by a licensed driver at least 18

years of age.

Are fireworks allowed?

Fireworks are strictly prohibited in the campground. 

Do you have a quiet hour?

Quiet hour is from 10:00pm-8:00am.
